Located in the heart of 'The Viking Triangle', the oldest quarter surrounded by the original 10th century fortifications, triangular in shape with Reginald's Tower at its apex. This was once the site of a thriving Viking city - it is now a quiet and tranquil area, dominated by narrow streets and medieval architecture.
Greyfriars took name of the Franciscan Abbey, which ruins may be found opposite entrance to our salon. The French Church so was called because the original Abbey (1240) was given to Huguenot refugees as a place of worship in the 17th century.
The biggest attraction of the city, House of Waterford Crystal, with it's address on The Mall is only 270 meters away. Well recognized Tower Hotel is at 130 meters distance. Two other Waterford hotels are within 500 m radius: Waterford Marina Hotel on Canada Street (350 m) and Granville Hotel on Meagher's Quay (450 m). Treacys Hotel, once known as Days Hotel, of Merchants Quay is 950 meters.
